I started Byte Dreams because I kept watching companies waste millions on AI tools that nobody used.
Here's the pattern: a leadership team reads three articles about AI, signs an enterprise contract with a hot vendor, hands the rollout to an internal champion, and six months later there are three license seats, twenty unread Slack notifications, and a renewal nobody wants to talk about. Meanwhile the actual work — the work the AI was supposed to help with — is still being done by humans on a Monday morning, exactly the way it was being done in 2023.
That's the gap. And the gap isn't really about AI. It's about shipping.
What we are
Byte Dreams is a full-service AI agency. That means we don't just consult and hand you a deck. We don't just engineer the LLM call and hand you a JSON payload. We don't just deploy a workflow and hand you an SOP. We do all of it — strategy, design, build, deploy, train — under one roof.
Most AI work breaks down between five layers: business strategy, product/UX design, AI engineering, integration / workflow plumbing, and team enablement. The companies that succeed at shipping AI are the ones who own all five layers. Most companies hire five different vendors and lose the seams between them. We're the alternative.
What we're not
We're not the agency that promises 10× ROI in 30 days. We turn down about a third of the conversations we have because the fit isn't right — usually it's a company that wants AI as a marketing story rather than as a real operating change. Those engagements don't end well for anybody.
We're also not the agency that resells tools. We have no kickback agreements. When we recommend n8n over Make, or Smartlead over Apollo, or Claude over GPT, it's because it fits your situation — not because we get paid on the resale.
And we're not a slide-deck consultancy. The strategy work we do is grounded in the build work we do, because we ship the systems on the other side of the slides.
What you can expect from this blog
I read a lot of AI-industry writing. Most of it is one of two things:
- Vendor pitches dressed up as advice. A long post with a clear "and here's why our product is the answer" reveal at the end.
- Thought-leadership pablum. "AI is changing everything." Yes, thank you, I'm aware.
We're going to write the opposite. This blog will be tactical, opinionated, and built on what we actually ship. Each post will tell you:
- What we built or saw built.
- What worked. What didn't.
- The actual prompts, configurations, or architectures behind it.
- The numbers when we can share them, even when they're embarrassing.
There will be longer pieces (10+ minute reads on specific topics like cold outbound stacks or agent eval harnesses) and shorter ones (sharp takes on a single tool, model, or pattern). There won't be anything that wouldn't survive an internal critique by my own engineers.
If that sounds useful, subscribe to our newsletter. One short email per week. Tactics, tools, teardowns. Easy unsubscribe.
What we're working on
A short list of what's in flight at Byte Dreams as of January 2026:
- An AI SDR agent that handles inbound for a Series B fintech (Week 3 of build, shadow mode starts next week).
- A RAG-powered internal copilot for a healthcare SaaS — searching 12 years of clinical SOPs (this one is hard; lots of nuance around accuracy thresholds).
- A workflow that connects HubSpot, Linear, and Slack for a 30-person agency, eliminating about 14 hours a week of manual ops work.
- This site, which you're reading. Built fast, opinionated, in public.
If any of this sounds like work you're trying to do, book a free call. We'll either help, or tell you what's missing before you spend anything.
